Semi-detached housing Bergen

cooperation with Arkitektstudio Elfrida Bull Bene BV

The scheme is a semi-detached housing project on a slope site in a regulated bungalow area near Bergen. The building is placed as far back into the hillside as possible. This way the building becomes part of the surrounding topography. The materials are heavy, trying to anchor the building firmly to the site and create a new situation where building and surroundings are one. The lighter, white, horizontal strips running across the front of the building as railings contrast the other materials. They connect the building to the surrounding houses in scale and materials. The building is to be finished in 2012.
